Michael S. Fabinski,  President

Michael S. Fabinski is the founder and president of MSF Law.  Michael was born and raised in the suburb of Bloomingdale, Illinois.  Growing up, Michael found the most joy competing in sports.  Michael loved playing football, basketball, and baseball, where he was coached by his father.  In the classroom, Michael enjoyed public speaking and debates where his mother taught him first-hand how to create a persuasive presentation, the same strategy he employs today in the courtroom.  In High School, Michael lettered in Football and Track & Field, and graduated with High Honors.

Michael then attended the University of Iowa where he continued to excel in academics.  Missing the days of playing sports competitively, Michael realized the athletic court was not the only forum where he could fuel his competitive nature.  It was then when Michael decided to transition his talents from the athletic court, to an actual Court.  After graduating from the University of Iowa, Michael flew to sunny San Diego, California to pursue his passion for competition and to study law.  Michael enrolled at Thomas Jefferson School of Law where he elected to study Trial Advocacy and Litigation.

Michael concentrated his studies in Advanced Trial Advocacy, taught by San Diego Deputy Public Defenders, where he developed a vast knowledge of the rules of evidence and procedure, and an immense understanding of trial advocacy techniques.  While achieving Honor Roll grades, Michael completed an internship at the San Diego County Office of the Public Defender, as well as clerked at two different criminal defense, immigration, and family law firms representing those in need.

Michael was also selected to compete for his school’s Mock Trial team, where he competed as the lead counsel in every one of his competitions against other law schools across the country.  In 2013, Michael led a team which placed first in his Region at the National Mock Trial Regional Competition.  After capturing Thomas Jefferson's first ever Regional Championship, Michael led his team to a semi-final appearance and 3rd place finish at the National Mock Trial Competition, beating over 800 of the very best aspiring trial lawyers across the nation.  At the National Competition, Michael earned a merit award for outstanding performance during the Competition.

After graduating with Honors, Michael returned home to clerk for the President of the National Bankruptcy Academy while he studied for the Bar Exam.  After passing the bar on his first attempt, Michael accepted an associate position with the law firm learning the ins and outs of bankruptcy. There, Michael represented over 500 individuals seeking relief under the US Bankruptcy Code.

Since then, Michael opened up the law firm: Michael S. Fabinski Law (MSF Law).  Michael is dedicated to representing those in need all across Chicago including DuPage County, Will County, Kane County, Lake County, McHenry County, Kendell County, and the Rockford Area.  Michael is also licensed to practice in federal court in the Northern District of Illinois and the Central District of Illinois.  Michael is the sole managing member of MSF Law and he personally handles every aspect of each client’s case.

While outside of the courtroom, Michael enjoys spending time with his family and being outdoors, especially on a golf course.

Michael is an avid fan of Ultimate Fighting Championships (UFC), the Chicago Bears, Blackhawks, Bulls, Cubs, and White Sox (that’s right, you can like both!).  In 2017, Michael married his beautiful wife, Stephanie, who works as a registered nurse.  She gave birth to their sons, Michael Jr. in 2021, and Marco in 2022.
